Our History
From Humble Beginnings to Serving Our Community
The Manzese Seventh-day Adventist Church began its journey in 1981 at Umoja Primary School, Mabibo Jeshini. It started as a small group of believers passionate about worship and Bible study. A year later, in 1982, the group found a new home at Ukombozi School. This marked a significant milestone as they were officially recognized as a full church – Manzese Seventh-day Adventist Church – under the leadership of Pastor [Pastor’s name].
The church continued to grow, and in 1989, they moved again to Uzuri Primary School. Finally, in that same year, they secured their permanent location in Sinza Block “E,” where they’ve faithfully served the community ever since.
Growth and Impact
Manzese Church hasn’t just grown in numbers; it has also flourished in its reach. From its roots, the church has branched out, planting several churches in the surrounding areas. These include Mabibo Church, Sinza Church, Kaanani Church, and two churches alongside three groups in Chalinze Ward.
Throughout its history, the church has faced challenges, but its commitment to its mission has remained unwavering. It has also witnessed remarkable success. In 2005, the church implemented a strategic plan that significantly improved its operational efficiency. This plan has been continuously refined over the years, proving instrumental in achieving the church’s spiritual and social goals.
A Pillar of the Community
Manzese Church takes immense pride in being an integral part of the Manzese community and its surrounding areas. They remain dedicated to providing spiritual and social services to people of all ages. The church actively participates in community development projects, demonstrating its commitment to the well-being of the people it serves.
